OliveNation’s Organic Indonesian vanilla beans grow from the same Planifolia strain as Madagascar beans, but the climate and unique curing process used in Indonesia give them a flavor that is deeper and more complex. These whole dried pods will give desserts, homemade extracts, and savory dishes a sweet yet earthy taste with a hint of woody smokiness that is out of this world. Use our Organic-Certified whole Indonesian vanilla beans when making homemade vanilla extract, flavoring decadent desserts, or adding depth to savory sauces and dishes. These plump and oily seed pods are perfect for adding an earthy sweetness that complements strong flavors, making them a great choice for use with chocolate, caramel, and anise. In addition, the unique curing process used in Indonesia creates flavor that offers heat stability making it ideal for high heat cooking applications and allowing it to be added earlier in the cooking process. Woody, smoky Indonesian vanilla beans are frequently paired with dark chocolate for sinfully rich frostings, fillings, and baked goods. Use these dried pods for baking brownies, making ice cream, cakes, cupcakes, and even beverages such as hot cocoa or mocha drinks. Our certified organic Indonesian vanilla bean pods are 6.75 to 7″ in length, and will remain fresh for up to 3 years when stored in a cool environment away from direct sunlight and heat.

Brenda J Minnis –
I only bought 1 bean just to learn its flavor. It is rather earthy to me. After I find a recipe that I think it will pare with then I will use it. But, this earthy flavor is not organic homemade vanilla flavoring for me.
